Innovation in nightclubs: profit during the day
Have you heard about the daytime events happening at São Paulo's Nightclubs?
That's right! A setup with lights, sound, open space – a dance floor – and a whole crew just to operate at night? Some entrepreneurs don't buy it.
It was with this business mindset that nightclub owners started diversifying and creating opportunities to bring more profitability to a space that, until then, sat idle during the day.
Some of the nightclubs that embraced this kind of innovation are well-known names, like D-Edge and Beco 203 – both EPOC customers 🙂 – which started with initiatives that have everything to do with nightlife entertainment.
In D-Edge's case, considered one of the leading electronic music clubs in the country and in the world, several classes were held on becoming a DJ. Yes, you read that right! Using D-Edge's entire setup, you can train your musical skills and take up a new hobby, or profession. On top of that, this year they wanted to go further and started holding morning yoga classes, non-profit, with all the proceeds going to charity.
Beco 203, on the other hand, started in 2014 with the idea of offering dance classes in the music styles played at the nightclub. At 8 p.m. on weekdays, it began offering “Twerk” and “Stiletto” classes. They also host bazaars or sell food by the kilo or buffet style. Some of the regulars use these dances as an alternative to the gym, an environment that can sometimes be hostile to women. The next project is to bring in “beer yoga” to mix health with drinking, the business of this kind of venue.
And you, have you ever taken part in an event – other than a party – at a nightclub? We believe this is starting to become a trend, a way to innovate and bring in more people during the venue's downtime.
