The Congress, organized by Abrasel in partnership with Mundo Mesa, will bring together panels and debates, cooking demonstrations with renowned Brazilian chefs, connections with suppliers in the sector and plenty of networking opportunities. There will also be a fair featuring small local producers (Farofa) and a tasting with restaurants from Brasília (Melhor das Cidades), organized by Prazeres da Mesa.
In a sector as competitive as bars and restaurants, which currently has around 1.5 million establishments and more than 5.6 million people employed, investing in knowledge is essential. With a varied technical program, owners get the chance to improve how they manage their ventures and build strategies to consolidate and expand the business.
A program with big names from the sector
The Congresso Abrasel will feature more than 40 names in its technical program, including Bel Coelho, a renowned chef, Marcelo Politi, founder of Politi Academy, and Soumya Nair, director of the Kerry group, responsible for producing the Taste Charts, one of the largest trend studies in the sector worldwide.
The event will also offer cooking demonstrations, where standout chefs will share stories, recipes and preparation techniques, providing a rich exchange of knowledge and experience for attendees.
Abrasel's chief executive, Paulo Solmucci, pointed out that the event brings the opportunity to discuss how bars and restaurants can adapt to technological advances and use them in their favor to grow and stand out in the market.
“This year the event will address, among other points, how artificial intelligence can revolutionize productivity in the out-of-home dining sector. Our goal is to show how technological innovation, combined with good practices, can improve efficiency and strengthen human relationships, driving the growth and competitiveness of our businesses. We hope everyone takes advantage of the learning opportunities this unique event will provide,” he says.
Showcase and networking lounge
To strengthen and expand new business offerings, the Congress features the Vitrine Abrasel, an online space for connecting with suppliers, with exclusive deals for those running a business in the sector.
In addition, this year the Congress will have a special networking lounge during the in-person program, exclusive to members and business partners.
